Innsbruck: E-biker (84) seriously injured in a fall

A fatal accident late on Saturday evening in Innsbruck: an 84-year-old e-biker lost control, crashed and suffered serious injuries. The pensioner had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.

The serious accident happened at around 10.30 p.m. in the Hötting district of Innsbruck. The 84-year-old local was riding his electric bike downhill in Riedgasse.

Crashed through no fault of his own
"According to investigations so far, the man fell through no fault of his own," the police said.

The senior citizen suffered serious injuries. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, he was taken to Innsbruck Hospital by ambulance.
