Further focus on speeding in Carinthia

After the police - as reported - carried out a cross-border surveillance operation last public holiday, further priority checks on Carinthia's mountain roads followed a day later. This resulted in tickets and reports. 

"On Friday, the Carinthian Provincial Traffic Department (LVA) carried out another internal enforcement operation on the Mölltal Road, the Grossglockner Road and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road," according to the provincial police department. Once again, numerous speeding tickets were handed out, reports issued and even license plates taken. 

44 motorcyclists and seven car drivers were fined for speeding. A further 27 bikers and 42 car drivers even had to be reported for speeding.

A total of six car license plates were confiscated for violations of the Motor Vehicle Act and 34 motorcyclists and car drivers were reported for various violations of the StVO and the KFG.

A further 29 tickets were issued to bikers and car drivers for various violations of the Motor Vehicle Act and the Road Traffic Act.
