Nail salons had employed illegals

On Tuesday, the Dornbirn immigration police, together with the financial police, inspected several beauty salons and nail studios in Vorarlberg. The officers discovered several inconsistencies.

On the one hand, two people were arrested during the operation who were staying in Austria illegally and therefore should not have been allowed to work - of course, they were not properly registered either.

On the other hand, the financial police discovered a number of regulatory violations, and in several cases there was also suspicion of tax evasion - however, a final assessment of the facts would only be possible once the proceedings had been concluded, according to the executive.
