Sprinter suspended after positive doping test

On the final day of the Olympic Games in Paris, Congolese track and field athlete Dominique Lasconi Mulamba has been suspended after testing positive for doping.

Mulamba was eliminated in the 100 m sprint in round one and a doping test a day later revealed the presence of banned substances, the International Testing Agency (ITA) announced on Sunday.

Fourth doping case in Paris
Mulamba is the fifth doping case of the Games in Paris. Previously, the Greek pole vaulter Eleni-Klaoudia Polak, the Iraqi judoka Sajjad Sehen, the Afghan judoka Mohammad Samim Faizad and the Nigerian boxer Cynthia Ogunsemilore had tested positive.
