Farmer slid over 100 meters with tractor

A spectacular accident ended for a 57-year-old man from Pongau in Schwarzach hospital. During mowing work in Grossarl, he slid 100 meters over steep terrain and was thrown out of the cab.

The farmer was driving his mowing tractor up a steep meadow in Großarl while harvesting hay. The turf under the tires came loose, causing the vehicle to slide backwards. It went downhill for more than 100 meters over steep, impassable terrain.

According to the police, the farmer was even thrown out of the vehicle cab. The helicopter took the injured man to Schwarzach Hospital. The Grossarl fire department recovered the badly damaged vehicle.
