After finishing fourth at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Morocco's footballers have won a medal at the Olympic Games. The team led by PSG star Achraf Hakimi outclassed Egypt 6:0 (2:0) in the African duel for bronze in Nantes on Friday. 

Soufiane Rahimi scored a brace. The Saudi Arabia international has scored in all of his Olympic appearances and finished the tournament with eight goals.

It is the first Olympic medal in soccer for Morocco and the sixth for the African continent. Nigeria won the tournament in Atlanta in 1996 and Cameroon in Sydney in 2000.
