Shot went off: hunter injured in the hand

A 64-year-old man was injured in a hunting accident in St. Martin am Tennengebirge (Pongau). The hunter fired a shot as he was leaving his high seat. The possibility of third-party negligence has been ruled out. 

The accident occurred on Monday, July 29. A 64-year-old hunter wanted to leave his high seat early in the morning at 6 am. He had his rifle on his back. He unintentionally pulled the trigger and a shot was fired, injuring his hand. The emergency doctor first treated the hunter before he was flown by helicopter to Salzburg Accident Hospital.
