Expansion of 100 million euros brings 300 new jobs

TGW has wanted more space for some time - now the intralogistics specialist is actually getting the excavators rolling in Marchtrenk. Up to 100 million euros are being invested to expand production, among other things. Side effect: 300 jobs created!

"We have an urgent need for space," said Harald Schröpf, TGW's CEO at the time, at the end of 2021, but also let it be known that it was not yet clear what the next expansion phase would look like. Since then, the workforce at the Marchtrenk site has grown by another 100 employees to a current total of 900.

We are investing despite a challenging economic environment because we are convinced that intralogistics is an industry with great potential for the future. The decision to expand in Upper Austria was preceded by intensive analysis.

On Tuesday, the technology company, which is now managed by Henry Puhl, revealed the expansion plans in detail: Up to 100 million euros will be invested in Marchtrenk! A 20,000 square meter production hall and a highly automated warehouse system will be built by summer 2026.

"A commitment to the location," says Puhl. The expansion is set to create a further 300 jobs in Marchtrenk. The company, which specializes in equipping logistics centers, currently employs 2,500 people in Upper Austria alone.
