Alarm in hotel: burglars trash office

Several thieves broke into a hotel on Lake Pressegger See in Carinthia on Thursday night with the aim of stealing money. 

The strangers gained access to the hotel during the night. They then forcibly broke open a glass door leading into the hotel offices. Their target was the wall safe. They wanted to take it with them. But the thieves failed to tear it out of the wall anchoring and eventually fled without any loot. 

The break-in itself was not noticed - only the damage the following day. Surveillance videos show that there were two perpetrators. One of them was wearing a black balaclava and work gloves.
