Police officers in the German municipality of Argenbühl, not far from the Austrian border, were quite astonished when they stopped a car driver who had attracted attention due to his unsafe driving style. However, alcohol was not to blame - at least not on the part of the driver...

A police patrol from the Wangen im Allgäu police station stopped a car driver who was driving slowly and unsafely in Eglofstal at around 10.45 p.m. on Saturday. The officers were astonished when they noticed a 16-year-old at the wheel of the car.

The teenager's 43-year-old father was sitting in the passenger seat, intoxicated. According to his own account, he had asked the 16-year-old to drive him home because he was drunk. The catch: due to his age, the teenager did not yet have the required driving license.

The officers prohibited the duo from continuing their journey and reported them both to the public prosecutor's office.
