Measles case: Infected person traveling by train

Measles alert in Styria: a person who tested positive for the virus was traveling on public transport last Saturday. The Styrian Regional Health Directorate is now issuing a warning and asking people to watch out for possible symptoms.

The Styrian Regional Health Directorate reports a case of measles! The reason for the excitement: The infected person used public transportation several times last Saturday (July 13).

From Wiener Neustadt to St. Stefan im Rosental
She took the ÖBB-Railjet 551 from Wiener Neustadt (6.35 a.m.) to Bruck (8 a.m.) and from there continued on the S1 to Peggau (arrival at 8.32 a.m.). In the evening, take the S1 from Peggau to Graz (arrival: 7.53 pm) and finally the Regio-Bus 500 from Neue Technik (8.36 pm) to St. Stefan im Rosental.

Observe the state of health
Following confirmation of the measles infection, a public appeal has now been launched: All passengers who were on the train at the same time should keep a close eye on their state of health. If symptoms occur, they should go to their family doctor - but with advance notification by telephone.
