From Admira to Juve

Puczka follows in the footsteps of Hjulmand

The transfer is still not as attractive as that of Morten Hjulmand, who moved to Lecce three years ago, now plays for Sporting Lisbon and earned Admira around two million euros, but at least: David Puczka, another diamond in the rough from Südstadt, is now moving to Italy and has signed a contract with Juventus until 2027.

For the time being, Puczka can recommend himself to Juve Next Gen in Serie C for the "Old Lady". "Of course, we won't stand in the way of such an opportunity," explained Admira's sporting director Peter Stöger, who - similar to Hjulmand - negotiated bonus payments and will keep a close eye on the 19-year-old winger's further development.

"I'm really looking forward to this challenge," says Puczka, who found his way into the scouts' notepads at the U19 international match against Italy in February and will be meeting familiar names in Turin: the sporting director is Claudio Chiellini, the brother of Italian legend Giorgio Chiellini, and the coach of the talent department is Uruguay's 60-time former team player Paolo Montero. David's adventure can begin!
