New striker is here! Is that it for Arnautovic?

What had been in the pipeline for several months is now official! Mehdi Taremi is moving from FC Porto to Inter Milan on a free transfer. The striker's transfer gives Austria team player Marko Arnautovic another competitor in the battle for playing minutes.

In 35 competitive matches last season, Taremi scored eleven goals and added seven assists. Although the 31-year-old Iranian is set to replace Alexis Sanchez, who is four years older and whose contract was not renewed, the deal could also have an impact on Arnautovic.

In the "Nerazzurri's" strong offensive line-up, the Viennese was already mostly left behind last season, playing just 781 minutes in Serie A. 

Will "Arnie" be sold?
According to Italian media reports, Inter would not be averse to letting Arnautovic leave if the right offer came along. And the 35-year-old himself would probably prefer to be on the pitch rather than sitting on the Italian champions' bench week in, week out.
