Road closures due to mudslides and flooding

After the heavy thunderstorm on Thursday evening, a number of road closures were necessary on the L109 road in Grossarl. This was due to flooding and mudslides.

As reported by the Grossarl volunteer fire department, the following locations have been closed since the evening hours: Großarl Nord entrance, Hotel Waldhof to Fischbacherbrücke, Salzleckweg entrance to Schiederhof.

It is not yet known how long the closures will last.

There were also severe weather incidents in Zell am See and Lend.
