Kapfenberg is the most expensive outdoor pool in Styria

The Styrian Chamber of Labor has once again surveyed the prices of Styrian outdoor pools and bathing lakes. The differences in admission prices are huge, with prices ranging from 10.50 euros for a day ticket in Kapfenberg to three euros in Kindberg.

43 outdoor swimming pools and 15 bathing lakes were examined by the Chamber of Labor's market research; in addition to the admission prices, the buffet prices were also surveyed. On average, it can be said that prices have risen considerably and have increased by almost 14 percent within a year, i.e. well above inflation.

According to the surveys, the cheapest outdoor pool in Styria is the one in Kindberg with an entrance fee of three euros. Weiz, St. Ruprecht an der Raab, Feldbach, Bad Gleichenberg, St. Lambrecht, Weißkirchen, Niklasdorf, Trofaiach, Retznei, Söchau, St. Oswald, Schwanberg, Eggersdorf and the Hietlbad Deutschlandsberg are also under five euros.

The most expensive admission ticket for adults is in Kapfenberg at 10.50 euros - but this also includes the indoor pool. The pools in Graz charge 8.50 euros admission, in Fürstenfeld and St. Radegund you pay 8 euros.

Some lakes are free
If you come on foot or by bike, you can swim for free in Erlaufsee and Freizeitsee Krieglach, where you only have to pay for parking. At the Copacabana in Kalsdorf, a day of swimming costs 9 euros.

Buffet prices show big differences
You have to pay 5.20 euros for a beer at Margaretenbad Graz, but only 3.50 euros in Fohnsdorf and Deutschlandsberg.

Half a liter of cola costs between 2.60 and 5.50 euros, half a liter of mineral water between 1.60 and 3.70 euros and French fries with ketchup between 2.30 and 5.50 euros. Buffet prices were increased by an average of 1.75 percent across all price categories.
