Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has reached the semi-finals of the grass court classic at Wimbledon. The Spaniard beat the American Tommy Paul 5:7, 6:4, 6:2 and 6:2 on Tuesday. Daniil Medvedev now awaits in the semi-finals.

The Spanish Roland Garros winner lost the first set against the in-form American Paul, but went on to win in four sets.

The quarter-finals in the lower half of the tableau between Lorenzo Musetti (ITA) and Taylor Fritz (USA) and Alex de Minaur (AUS) and Novak Djokovic (SRB) will take place on Wednesday.
