Salzburg police caught two drunk drivers

The police stopped two drunk drivers on Monday in Salzburg-Itzling and in St. Michael. They had been drinking too much. Both drivers had their licenses confiscated on the spot. They will now be charged.

During a traffic check in Salzburg-Itzling, the 59-year-old attracted attention due to his unsafe driving. A breathalyzer test showed a level of 1.02 per mille.

And in St. Michael im Lungau on Monday, it was the end of the line for a 54-year-old driver. The local wanted to drive away from a parking lot with his engine roaring, but police officers noticed him. The man from Lungau had 1.6 per mille alcohol in his blood. His driver's license had also been expired for eleven years. 

Both drivers had to surrender their licenses. They will now be reported to the police after driving under the influence of alcohol.
