Accident on the A2: family overturned in car

There was a crash on the A2 south highway on Saturday morning. A father was driving towards Arnoldstein with his wife and child when he fell into a microsleep and the car overturned. However, the accident ended lightly for the family - they escaped with minor injuries.

A man, his wife and his few-month-old baby were traveling on the A2 southwest of Graz when a dangerous scene occurred: The father apparently fell into seconds, jerked the steering wheel and caused the car to skid, according to the Styrian police.

Luck in misfortune
The car overturned - but the family had a stroke of luck. When the ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident, it turned out that all three had only suffered minor injuries. They were taken to hospital for assessment and the mother had to stay overnight. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
