Ski legend Hermann Maier climbs the Dachstein

Olympic champion Hermann Maier climbed the Dachstein with nine entrepreneurs - as seen in a new commercial. Why he always has the highest mountain in Styria in his sights.

That's what you call home advantage: "I can see the Dachstein directly from my home and always know what the conditions are like," says Hermann Maier. The conditions were perfect at the end of April. The Austrian skiing legend climbed the highest mountain in Styria together with nine entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the unusual rope team was to shoot a promotional film for Raiffeisen. The former Olympic and world champion has been the bank's figurehead for decades - and is still in excellent physical condition, as was evident at the presentation of the video in Raaba.

The Styrian entrepreneur Nina Wallner-Guggi was also on the mountain. She is responsible for personnel in the family business (DIY stores and sports stores). "It was my first time on touring skis. Others already had more experience. We helped each other."

"Not to be underestimated"
Maier is always on the Dachstein ("it's very exposed and susceptible to wind, so it shouldn't be underestimated") - this tour was a particular challenge, as they were accompanied by an entire film crew. Maier: "As the mountain station was closed in April due to renovation work, there wasn't much else going on."

For Rainer Stelzer, CEO of Raiffeisenlandesbank, the campaign is "a small contribution to lifting the mood and showing how important it is to work together" in difficult economic times.
