Tyrolean seriously injured during woodworking in the forest

Serious accident at work on Wednesday afternoon in Tyrol! A 59-year-old man was pushed against the rim of the tractor during woodworking and suffered serious injuries. The man had to be taken to hospital in Innsbruck.

Shortly before 3.30 p.m., the local man was carrying out woodwork in a forest in Breitenbach (Kufstein district). He was pulling tree trunks with a cable winch attached to a tractor. "When a log unexpectedly started to slide, the man was caught by the cable of the winch and pressed against the rim of the tractor," said the police.

Wife rushed to help
According to the current state of the investigation, the 59-year-old suffered serious injuries. He was able to call his wife on his own, who set the rescue chain in motion, rushed to the scene of the accident and took the accident victim to his home in the tractor. From there, the Tyrolean was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Innsbruck.
