Truck driver stopped with a fake driver’s license

It's unbelievable what's on the roads in Austria: In Pians, Tyrol, the driver of a truck was pulled over on Friday for driving without a license. The Brazilian (30) was of course not allowed to continue driving.

As part of a driver and vehicle check, the 30-year-old was stopped on the Arlberg expressway in the municipality of Pians at around 10.45 am on Friday. "The Brazilian presented a Romanian driver's license. However, he was unable to produce a certificate of employment or a trade license," said the police.

No further driving allowed
Upon closer inspection of the driver's license, the officers had doubts about the authenticity of the document. "Specially trained police officers confirmed that the driving license was a forgery," explained the executive. The forged driver's license was seized. "Reports will be made to the relevant authorities and the driver was prohibited from continuing to drive," said the investigators.
