Nehammer and Kogler crash ÖFB cabin party

The turquoise-green coalition is not always so united at the moment - except when it comes to soccer. Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) and Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler (Greens) even crashed the ÖFB players' dressing room party together after the sensational win against the Netherlands. 

They may argue about politics, but when it comes to soccer and red-white-red victories - all quarrels are forgotten. Chancellor Nehammer and Vice-Chancellor Kogler sent selfies from the dressing room while celebrating with Austria's footballers after the 3:2 win against the Netherlands and victory in Group D of the European Football Championship. 

"Incredibly proud"
SPÖ leader Andreas Babler cheered at the public viewing on Rathausplatz and, like Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, posted how proud they were of this ÖFB team. 

However, the funniest post was probably made by Sepp Schellhorn, who even took a satirical swipe at Vienna's former mayor Michael Häupl on Twitter. 

Perhaps Austria's politicians should take a leaf out of Ralf Rangnick's players' book when it comes to team spirit and attitude. Then even election campaigns could become bearable.
