Head-on crash! Rally legend injured in accident

Sebastien Ogier was injured in a car accident in Poland on Tuesday and was taken to hospital by helicopter. There is no information yet about the severity of the injuries.

The eight-time world rally champion was preparing for the rally, which starts on Thursday, on a gravel road that will form part of the race. There, a collision occurred with an oncoming vehicle with a 69-year-old driver.

Ogier transported away by helicopter
A police spokesman said that Ogier and the other driver were taken to hospital by helicopter and the two co-drivers by ambulance. He did not know the extent of the injuries, but said that all four of the injured were conscious.
