Schweinsteiger slogan embarrasses TV presenter

Soccer pundit Bastian Schweinsteiger and presenter Esther Sedlaczek are regarded as a TV dream team at the European Championships in Germany. But there were two upsets involving the ARD pair during the Portugal match against the Czech Republic. 

Germany's world champions caused the first stir even before Cristiano Ronaldo's 2:1 victory. The reason: Georgina Rodríguez, the superstar's girlfriend. A few hours before the game, she posted a video on Instagram showing Ronaldo Junior celebrating his 14th birthday.

Presenter Sedlaczek shows it to Schweinsteiger live on TV to draw attention to the Ronaldo protégé's pink Germany jersey. But "Schweini" was obviously more focused on Georgina's skimpy outfit: "Where are you looking?" he asked Sedlaczek. She was slightly embarrassed by Schweinsteiger's innuendo. "Oh, Basti," she called in Schweinsteiger's direction, "at the jersey, the jersey of the German national team."

Schweinsteiger angry with the referees
Whatever? After the game, Schweinsteiger was no longer a laughing matter. But this time it was down to the referee. In his opinion, Portugal's 2:1 should not have been recognized. "It was a very clear foul by Nelson Semedo against Doudera. 20 seconds later it's 2:1 for Portugal."

The expert continued to Sedlaczek: "If I run into you now and the ball is there - that's also a foul. So I'm not doing that now." Sedlaczek breathes a sigh of relief and thanks him for his leniency. Schweinsteiger in a rage: "If an international referee can't see that, then I'm sorry." You always have to look very closely - in every situation ...
