Two arrests on Ronaldo’s arrival in Germany

When Cristiano Ronaldo steps out of the team bus, many a soccer fan's fuse blows. As the Portuguese national team was about to move into its European Championship quarters in Marienfeld on Thursday evening, two fans snuck into the Selecao's hotel. They were subsequently arrested. 

The two 21-year-olds, who wanted to be as close as possible to their idol, are now facing a criminal investigation for trespassing.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing in his sixth European Championship in the coming weeks; on Tuesday he and Portugal will face the Czech Republic in Leipzig.
