Landslide: district in Zillertal not accessible

The road to the Gattererberg district of the Zillertal municipality of Stummerberg will remain closed until further notice. The reason for this is a landslide that occurred on Wednesday.

The ground in Tyrol is still very wet. This was demonstrated once again on Wednesday. A landslide occurred in the Gattererberg gorge in the afternoon. Heavy equipment was used to clear the road below.

However, as debris kept falling onto the road, the road had to be closed to all traffic in the evening due to danger to life. The district of Gattererberg in the municipality of Stummerberg is therefore inaccessible until further notice.
