82-year-old fell on the back of his head during a fight

A German (37) and an Austrian (82) got into such a heated argument at a petrol station on Saturday afternoon that fists flew. The altercation ended in hospital for the older man. 

At around 3.35 p.m. on Saturday in the municipal area of Matrei am Brenner near a petrol station, an initially violent verbal and then violent argument broke out between an 82-year-old Austrian and a 37-year-old German.

According to the investigations carried out so far, the 82-year-old fell backwards with the back of his head against the asphalt floor after a push or blow to his chest and suffered injuries of indeterminate severity.

He was taken to the regional hospital in Hall in Tirol for further treatment by the ambulance service. The German remained uninjured.
