Five injured in a rear-end collision on the Westautobahn

A total of five people, including an eleven-year-old girl, were injured in a rear-end collision on the Westautobahn (A1) in Traun in Upper Austria on Saturday morning. The accident was probably caused by carelessness.

According to his own statements, a 23-year-old man from Innviertel had overlooked a car with four people on the slow lane at the Traun exit and crashed into the rear of the car.

A total of four people were sitting in the car: At the wheel was a 26-year-old Afghan woman from Haid, together with an eleven-year-old and two other occupants (18 and 49).

Passenger most seriously injured
Everyone involved in the accident was injured. According to the police, the 49-year-old female passenger of the vehicle in front was the worst hit. The 26-year-old female driver and the other passengers, including the eleven-year-old, are said to have suffered minor injuries.

The 23-year-old driver of the other car was taken to the accident hospital in Linz.
