Gabourey Sidibe, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Precious", is the proud mother of twins!

The babies were born in April, but Sidibe and her husband Brandon Frankel only revealed this now. They told "The Shade Room" that they have a boy and a girl, named Cooper and Maya.

"Brandon always wanted to name a son Cooper so we could call him 'Coop,' and Maya was named after our babymoon on the Riviera Maya in Mexico," Sidibe explained. "Both twins have traditional West African middle names after members of my family."

"Strong and funny"
She raved about her babies: "They are both extremely strong and funny, although they haven't really interacted with each other yet."

She also revealed that Cooper sometimes "speaks" for Maya and warns her that she's about to spit up. "Maya loves having her name sung to her and is the queen of comedic timing, and Cooper loves his sleep and has the funniest facial expressions. They both love to cuddle with mom and dad."

"Double the fun"
The 41-year-old announced her pregnancy on Instagram in February, joking that it was simply time for her cats to get a job. "So we're giving them each a baby to look after! Double the babies, double the cats, double the fun!!!"
