E-biker died after accident at Bergheim junction

A tragic accident occurred in Bergheim on Wednesday morning. An 87-year-old e-biker did not survive the collision with a car and died at the scene of the accident.

The pensioner was traveling on Mitterstraße in the direction of Muntigl. At the same time, a 42-year-old woman from Flachgau was driving her car on Siggerwiesen Straße in the direction of Lamprechtshausener Straße. A collision occurred at the junction for an as yet unexplained reason.

Police officers carried out resuscitation measures until the emergency services arrived - without success. An expert will be called in to clarify the cause of the accident.
