Bad accident on Monday afternoon in Mieders (Innsbruck-Land district)! A wooden wall that was leaning against a building fell over and caught a local man (62). He had to be rescued and flown to hospital by helicopter.

The tragic accident occurred shortly after 5 pm. A prefabricated wooden house wall fell over for unknown reasons. It was leaning against a building and hit the 62-year-old man. The man was seriously injured and had to be rescued.

To hospital by helicopter
After initial treatment on site, he was flown to Innsbruck Regional Hospital by rescue helicopter. Further investigations into the accident are ongoing. The Mieders and Schönberg fire departments, the ambulance service, an emergency doctor and the rescue helicopter were deployed.
