Road cyclist crashes on wet road in Tyrol

Serious traffic accident in Tyrol on Thursday! A 19-year-old crashed on a wet road near Ampass (Innsbruck-Land district) and crashed into the crash barrier. The young man was seriously injured.

The local was heading east on his racing bike on Ellbögener Straße in Ampass at around midday. "Shortly before a traffic circle, the man crashed in a left-hand bend on the wet road and hit the crash barrier," said the police.

Taken to hospital in Innsbruck
The 19-year-old sustained serious injuries. He had to be taken to the Innsbruck hospital by ambulance.
