Upper Austrian falls during a bike tour on the mountain!

The 48-year-old Upper Austrian was hiking with a group on the Millstätter Alpe when he suddenly lost his footing.

The hikers were actually equipped with mountain bikes, but could only push them in the rough terrain at over 2000 meters above sea level. At around 2.30 p.m., the group was at Grünes Törl, where the Upper Austrian suddenly fell: "For currently unknown reasons - but presumably due to the wet ground conditions," added the police.

The 48-year-old's injuries of indeterminate severity were first treated by the crew of the emergency helicopter "RK1" and he was then taken by helicopter to Spittal/Drau Hospital.
