Hot fire on a company site in Wundschuh

A building on a company site in Wundschuh started to burn on Tuesday afternoon. A fault in an electric motor was probably to blame. There was extensive damage to property, but nobody was injured.

A fire on a company site in Wundschuh, district of Graz-Umgebung, triggered a large-scale fire department operation on Tuesday afternoon. 58 firefighters and nine vehicles had to be deployed at around half past two. A technical defect in an electric motor is highly likely to have caused the fire.

High property damage as a result
The flames spread to the roof of the company building and damaged the photovoltaic system on it. A high level of property damage was caused, the exact amount of damage is still unclear. Fortunately, no one was injured.
