Female moped rider injured after a fall – car drove on

There was a nasty accident in Absam (Innsbruck-Land district) on Sunday morning! A 15-year-old female moped rider was hit by a car. She fell and was seriously injured. The unknown driver drove on. The police are now looking for witnesses.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning at around 8.15 a.m. on Dörferstraße in the Absam area. The 15-year-old local girl was overtaken by a car on her moped and hit with her left wing mirror.

This caused the teenager to fall. The driver of the black car - probably a Mercedes - did not stop and drove on. The 15-year-old was seriously injured and taken to the regional hospital in Hall in Tirol by ambulance.

The police are now asking the unknown driver of the car and any witnesses to the accident to come forward.
