E-car “disappeared” into bushes after accident

Accident on the Westautobahn in Upper Austria, but where is the car involved? An electric car was thrown into bushes on the Westautobahn near Regau on Tuesday and literally disappeared into them. The fire department first had to cut away bushes to get to the car.

The electric car left the Westautobahn near Regau during a heavy downpour for an as yet unknown reason and then probably skidded backwards up an embankment. According to the Rutzenmoos volunteer fire department, the car came to a standstill in such a way that it was no longer visible at first glance.

Driver treated
The driver was treated by the ambulance and emergency doctor, according to the Rutzenmoos fire brigade. "It was only after we had removed the bushes that we were able to recover the car with our loading crane and lift it onto the requested tow truck," says the fire department's incident report.
