Edmonton secures spot in the conference finals

The Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Western Conference Final of the North American Ice Hockey League NHL on Monday (local time).

The Oilers won the last match in the "best of seven" series against the Vancouver Canucks 3:2 and decided the series 4:3 in their favor. They will face the Dallas Stars in the conference final, with the first game taking place on Friday night.

After the first period ended goalless, the Oilers led 3-0 after the second. However, Edmonton lost control in the final minutes and allowed Vancouver to close the gap to 3-2, but the Canadiens were unable to equalize in the hectic final phase.
