Car flies out of a bend: Five injured!

The driver will probably not forget this night-time drive for a long time: At excessive speed, the vehicle with five people on board crashed into a tree.

The man had been driving from Helenenschacht towards Ritzing on Sunday evening with four other people in the car. They were happily driving along the country road at a slightly excessive speed. However, the journey came to an abrupt end on a right-hand bend.

Incorrect assessment of the curve radius
Because the driver had apparently misjudged the radius of the bend, the car left the road and crashed into two trees. The vehicle was severely damaged as a result of the collision. All five occupants of the Audi - three men and two women - suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital after first aid. The driver failed a breathalyzer test. The fire department recovered the wreckage.
