Unknown man beats up 21-year-old in Götzis

The man who ran into some passers-by at the train station in Götzis late on Friday evening must have looked pretty shaken up. The 21-year-old had very serious facial injuries, so those who came across him at the station immediately called the emergency services.

When the emergency services arrived shortly after the emergency call, the injured man was treated and taken to hospital. However, he could only be questioned by the police there on Sunday morning, as the young man had sustained several fractures to his face.

As the passers-by at the station had already stated, the man had come from the direction of the Götzner Mösle Stadium and was already injured when he arrived at the station. The 21-year-old claims to have sustained these injuries when he was beaten up by an unknown man. He stated that the perpetrator was accompanied by five to six other people.

The exact location of the crime is still being investigated, according to the police. The police are also looking for a slim, approximately 1.80 meter tall man with brown hair. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to contact the Götzis police station on 059/133-8157.
