Canyoning trip ends in hospital for German woman

Dramatic scenes unfolded for a 33-year-old German woman in Erpfendorf (Tyrol) on Sunday afternoon! The woman was seriously injured in the "Taxaklamm" gorge after jumping from a height of around six meters.

A six-person canyoning group was on a guided tour in the "Taxaklamm" in Erpfendorf at around 16:15. But the fun ended fatally. "A 33-year-old German citizen was seriously injured when she jumped from a height of around six meters," said the police.

Taken to Rosenheim hospital
The injured woman was rescued from the gorge by the St. Johann in Tirol mountain rescue team and subsequently taken to the hospital in Rosenheim by rescue helicopter.
