After a series of break-ins: mother (41) and sons in custody

A 41-year-old woman and her two sons (18, 19) have now been caught red-handed in Lower Austria after burglaries in 36 cellar compartments.

On Thursday night, a resident in Wolkersdorf in the Mistelbach district heard noises. He informed the police. The officers caught the trio - a 41-year-old woman and her two sons (18, 19) - in the act. They had stowed stolen goods in rucksacks and bags and had prepared an e-bike and an e-scooter, among other things, for removal.

The police provisionally arrested the three Slovakians. They have not confessed, according to a statement on Friday. 

36 cellar compartments looted
During the night of Thursday, the suspects allegedly broke into a total of 36 cellar compartments in four residential complexes in Wolkersdorf. They were also charged with an attempted theft from an apartment on the same night. The amount of damage was initially unknown.
