Salary missing: Ex-employee goes on the rampage in a Viennese pub

The 32-year-old man from Nigeria entered the restaurant in Vienna-Neubau at around 5 pm. The ex-employee immediately started arguing and shouting about outstanding salary payments. The restaurant manager then reached for his cell phone and alerted the police.

Despite the attempt to bring the situation under control, the 32-year-old became increasingly aggressive towards the officers - he had to be arrested. In an attempt to take the man away, the 32-year-old bit the finger of a police officer. The latter suffered a minor injury. 

"The accused was questioned and subsequently released by order of the Vienna public prosecutor's office", police spokesman Markus Dittrich concluded on Friday.
