Serial thief caught red-handed in Vienna

Attentive neighbors alerted the police in Vienna-Favoriten on Thursday after a woman (35) and her accomplice (42) stole an e-scooter from a cellar compartment. When the suspects tried to flee, the residents managed to hold them until the police arrived.

When the emergency services arrived at around 5.30 p.m., they were able to arrest the suspects. During a further search, a stolen cosmetics bag and burglary tools were also seized.

Investigations are in full swing
Further investigations also revealed that the 35-year-old was a wanted serial thief. She is believed to be responsible for a total of 50 other thefts and burglaries. During the thefts, she is believed to have always traveled with changing male partners.

According to the police, she wanted to finance her drug addiction. Further investigations into the 35-year-old and her accomplice are underway.
