Chris Pratt mourns the loss of stunt double Tony McFarr

"I'm devastated at the loss of my friend!" Chris Pratt mourns the loss of his stunt double. Tony McFarr died "shockingly and surprisingly" (according to a statement from his family) at his home in Florida at the age of just 47.

On Instagram, the Hollywood star paid tribute to his tough double in words and pictures: "We made several movies together. We played golf, drank whiskey, smoked cigars and spent endless hours together on set!"

Real superhero
For Pratt, McFarr was a real superhero: "I'll never forget how tough he was. I still remember him getting hit in the head at the beginning of Guardians 2. He had his wounds stapled and was immediately back in front of the camera afterwards."

Gentleman and professional
Pratt ended with: "Tony was always a gentleman and a professional. We will miss him. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter!"

McFarr had been working as a stuntman in Hollywood since 2011 and first worked with Pratt in "Jurassic World" in 2015. He only opened Reel Bowls Poke Bar and The Fit Kitchen with his wife Thais in February.
