Hazardous waste and trailer burst into flames

Dangerous situation at a waste disposal company in Inzing: A truck trailer with hazardous waste suddenly caught fire and several fire departments arrived.

At around 11.28 a.m. on Thursday, a vehicle fire broke out at the waste disposal company in Inzing during the loading of a trailer with hazardous production waste.

Staff tried to extinguish the fire
The employees of the company tried to extinguish the fire themselves, but were unsuccessful. The fire department was alerted by an automatic fire alarm system and was subsequently able to extinguish the fire. The Inzing and Zirl fire departments were deployed with a total of six vehicles and 28 members, as well as the Red Cross with two vehicles.

The semi-trailer was totaled and the truck was slightly damaged.

No persons were injured in the incident. The semi-trailer was totaled and the tractor unit was slightly damaged. The amount of material damage caused is in the high five-digit euro range.
