Leader hit by car and opponent run over

There was a scandal at the French U19 cycling championship. Amandine Muller, who was in the lead, was hit by a car, crashed and was run over by her rival Celia Gery.

Gery was in conversation with her sporting director, who was also driving the car. Engrossed in the conversation, however, he overlooked the fact that he was heading straight for Muller's rear wheel. He touched the leader, who then lost control of her bike. Gery was unable to brake in time and the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes rider crashed over her opponent.
