Night-time bike ride ends in hospital

On Sunday night, a 56-year-old man had a serious fall on his e-bike in Bregenz. He had to be taken to the local provincial hospital with unspecified injuries.

The man had set off home on his e-bike at around 1 am. On the slightly sloping transition from Römerstraße to Klostergasse, he lost control of the bike for reasons as yet unknown and crashed with full force onto the hard asphalt.

The accident victim was first treated by an emergency medical team and the ambulance and then taken to Bregenz Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.
