Aurora hunters thrilled all over Salzburg

The glowing celestial spectacle in all colors thrilled all of Salzburg on Saturday night. Photos from various parts of the province reached the Krone editorial team. 

Normally you can only dream of this in the far north: aurora moods can only be captured with great effort, usually in freezing temperatures.

On Saturday night, photographers and hobby polar light hunters positioned themselves all over Salzburg. A strong solar storm is currently ensuring that the images can also be observed much further south.

The colorful spectacle in the sky could be admired throughout the province - preferably in elevated locations such as the Gaisberg in the provincial capital or, for example, at the Maria Bühel pilgrimage church, where Hermann Hermeter captured an impressive atmosphere.
