Driver wanted to overtake truck – despite oncoming traffic
A driver in Alberschwende on Wednesday probably overestimated the horsepower of her Citroën. It is only thanks to a guardian angel that there were no injuries during her daring overtaking maneuver.
At around 12.30 pm, the woman was driving her car on the L200 in the direction of Alberschwende. Under the very optimistic motto "It will still work out", she tried to overtake a truck in front of her despite oncoming traffic. The result: her Citroën and the escaping BMW touched each other on the side.
Fortunately, the truck driver was able to swerve out of the way at the last moment, otherwise there would have been injuries. Everyone involved escaped with a scare, but the material damage is considerable.
Traffic was briefly obstructed at the scene of the accident due to the clean-up work.
