Strolling and playing on the new promenade
With seating, water features and raised beds, St. Pölten wants to entice pedestrians to linger on the redesigned Promenadenring.
Part one is complete: the redesign of the first section of the Promenadenring around St. Pölten's city center is finished. Now, strollers not only have some greenery at their disposal, but also drinking fountains and bicycle stands in addition to seating. Swings, slides and water games await the youngest - and the young at heart - offering action and entertainment.
In addition, three curry yellow "loop boxes" entwined with kiwi plants will serve as play zones and guest gardens in future. There are also six raised beds for hobby gardeners on the new section. These will be made available free of charge for one year in a prize draw. Anyone who would like to "sponsor" one of the beds has until tomorrow to do so.
